Project Reveal - Foyer - Ridgewood NJ interior designer

I recently shared a powder room and dining room from my #gardnerhomeproject and now I’m sharing the completed foyer from this beautiful 1930’s home. In this photo you can get a glimpse of the aforementioned powder room on the left and then on the right is the living room which I will be featuring in an upcoming blog post. In the middle is a 45”x45” commissioned piece of art that is such a showstopper in person!!

Here you can see the other angle of the foyer looking into the kitchen. This sweet little cabinet fits the space so perfectly and I am so happy with how it all came together with the mirror and lamp.

There is also a little vestibule when you first enter the home and there is a duo of pretty prints on the walls. Here you can see one of them:

Project Reveal - Dining Room - Ridgewood interior designer

I recently shared a powder room from my #gardnerhomeproject and now I’m sharing the completed dining room. This home is from the 1930’s and my client’s moved into the home needing to completely furnish almost every room. Blank slate / full room transformations are my favorite projects because we are not limited by any item(s) that need to stay. From the start, we knew that we were going to add white paneling to the bottom half of the walls and install wallpaper on the top. We had a couple of bold options but after looking at the swatches on the wall, this floral paper was the winner.

Here is a closer view of the sideboard which features a mirror and simple decor to not detract from all of the other elements in the space.

Here is the BEFORE photo. As you can see, the previous owners of the home had table for six in the space - we went with a larger table and light fixture which really fills the room. There is no other furniture in the room beyond the sideboard so that we could maximize the space for seating for eight.

Here is the concept board that I presented to my clients to illustrate the selections for the room.

Stay tuned for more photos - next up will be the foyer and then living room!!

Ridgewood NJ interior designer Project Reveal

Here is a tiny preview from a multi room project in Ridgewood NJ that I’ve been working on since the spring and is finally (almost) done! We are waiting on the custom shade for the window but otherwise this powder room has been transformed. My clients are not afraid to go BOLD, so we did! I think a powder room is the perfect place to feature a dramatic wallpaper like this showstopper.

Much more to come from my #gardnerhomeproject soon!!

Here is a closer view of the pretty paper and vanity top!

I love this fun art! It is a Limited Edition screen print.

Here is a BEFORE photo of this Ridgewood bathroom. The home is from the 1930’s and it was a pretty obvious decision to keep this beautiful marble top vanity when we were planning the transformation.

And here is the most exciting thing that happened to me this week! Phillip Jeffries shared my work on their Instagram page of over 171k followers!! This was such a huge thrill and honor for me to have my work recognized by the leader in wallcoverings!

Project Reveal- Living Room, Dining Room Transformation Bergen County Designer

Today I am sharing another reveal from the AckermanHomeProject. To see the reveal of the nursery from this home, click here.

This post will focus on the downstairs of the home. Let’s start in the dining room. My clients purchased this newly renovated home from a developer and there was no hook-up for a light fixture over the table so we went with a large vase as the centerpiece. These chairs were custom upholstered and we selected kid and pet friendly fabric that will last for many years to come.

The dining room is open to the kitchen which features a nice sized island. I love how the new black stools tie in with the black finish on the pendants, curtain rods and frames.

Here is a peek into the dining room and kitchen from the living room. I love how open the floor plan is. We took advantage of the wall space to feature a gallery wall of framed black and white photos.

njinteriordesigner.jpg

Let’s see more of the living room! The space features plenty of seating between the large comfy sofa and the two leather accent chairs. There are lots of textures that are incorporated in the space between the pillows on the sofa and chairs as well as the rug and drapes.

Now let’s get a closer look at the large console table featuring that 30x30 framed art. I love the texture of the pots and planters as well as that cool lamp!

Another look from the living room into the dining room and beyond that is a little mudroom.

I love seeing how this house has become a home!
