Wyckoff family room transformation - Bergen County designer

Today I am sharing a project reveal of this Wyckoff family room that we recently completed. My clients have this gorgeous family room with tall ceilings and lots of natural light. They already had the light fixture, sofas and chair, but needed help with finishing the space (coffee table, pillows, art, accessories). This comfortable and stylish space is the heart of the home, featuring a new beautiful fireplace and built-ins.

I loved decorating these built-ins for my clients. Accessories really finish a space and make a house a home.

Here is the other side of the family room - I loved bringing in some color with the art and pillows. The leather woven stools add warmth and texture.

Here is a BEFORE photo from when I first met my clients last year.

One more after photo of the new space!

Working with an interior designer / decorator can save you money in the long run by avoiding costly mistakes or getting furniture that doesn’t really fit the space properly. Bathroom Transfomation in Montclair NJ

Today I am sharing a bathroom renovation that was recently completed in Montclair NJ. This home from the 1920’s needed a bathroom refresh and the finished result is fresh and updated while still keeping with the integrity of the time period of the home. The black and white color palette with the tiles is timeless.

Here is a close up of the new shower:

This is the before photo of the shower - you can see that we made the switch from a shower curtain to a glass door.

And a side by side view, I can’t believe it’s the same space!

Montclair NJ kitchen transformation

I am so excited to share the photos from this amazing kitchen transformation in Montclair NJ. My clients have such a charming home from the 1920’s and their kitchen was in need of a makeover because it was lacking storage and space. We were able to add an additional window and functional island, as well as more cabinets, by removing a little nook in between the kitchen and dining room.

For the cabinets, we selected a really pretty green/grey color that pairs so perfectly with the soapstone countertops and new wood floors stained Early American.

I love the open shelves in this corner - we had them stained a tiny bit darker than the floors (Provincial) which is such a great contrast to the hand-cut subway tiles and cabinet color.

The farmhouse sink not only looks beautiful but provides so much space - who wouldn’t want to wash dishes right here?!

We selected the soapstone after looking at many slabs at the stoneyard and I am so thrilled with the end result. There is nothing like a natural stone, especially in a 100 year old home.

Here is a BEFORE photo so that you can see where we started. Notice how removing that nook on the left really opened up the space.

Having an additional window in the kitchen also allows for so much more natural light.

I have started to get a head start on my holiday shopping and wanted to share some of the things that I have been finding online. I have two teenage daughters so some of the goodies that I found are intended for them, some are fun finds for the women on my list and a couple things are for me (hint hint to my kids and husband!!)

I also included a few of my favorite items that I already own like this COZY throw blanket which my entire family is obsessed with and these marble picture frames that I have on my family room built-ins.

Let me know if you have found any great gift ideas to share!!

Happy Shopping!
